Teach
I am an experienced educator and have worked with a wide range of levels and ages, from beginners to post-graduate students. I offer one-on-one lessons, group tuition and music theory classes.
Whatever the context, I bring a love of creativity and spontaneity to the learning process. Several of the young adults I have taught have gone onto study music in Higher Education and to become professional musicians.

I am a teacher at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where I give classes in musicianship, harmony and counterpoint, arranging, improvisation. I’ve been involved in many research projects, performances and collaborations, including “Improvisation 1725”, a research project into period improvisational techniques, as part of Trinity’s CoLab festival.
I hold a Fellowship of Higher Education and a post graduate certificate in music education.
These ideas are at the centre of my teaching practice.
Let’s make stuff. Musicians should be not just instrumentalists but creators: improvisers, composers and leaders.
Let’s work with what you love. It’s easy to engage with the music you listen to. Let’s use that as our starting point.
Let’s join a community. Individual lessons are just the start, I offer a library online resources, videos, recordings and discussion forums.
